Security notice

Scammers are impersonating Terrain.

Last updated August 21, 2026

We have become aware of individuals and websites falsely claiming to represent Terrain Life Science — including fraudulent recruiting and job-interview schemes. Please read the following so you can recognize and report these attempts.

Terrain is not sending out requests for employment information or conducting interviews through unsolicited outreach. We will never directly contact you to ask for personal information, banking or payment details, or money.

How to recognize a legitimate contact

Genuine communication from Terrain will not:

  • Request payment, gift cards, or cryptocurrency for any reason.
  • Ask for your Social Security number, bank account, or other sensitive personal or financial information over chat, text, or email.
  • Extend a job offer or conduct interviews solely over messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or Signal.
  • Pressure you to act urgently or keep the conversation secret.

All official Terrain email comes from an @terrainlifescience.com address. If you are unsure whether a message is genuinely from us, do not reply or click any links — verify it first using the contact details below.

If you have been approached

If you are approached by someone impersonating or claiming to work with Terrain, or you find a website impersonating Terrain, please file a complaint and include the details. Be sure to include the website link, sender email address, phone number, and any messages in your report.

You can report impersonation through any of the following:

  • Notify Terrain directly so we can act on it — email us at contact@terrainlifescience.com.
  • U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) — file a report at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
  • FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) — file a complaint at ic3.gov, especially for online job or website scams.
